What is NAD+ Infusion?

NAD+ (Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide), a derivative of vitamin B3, is a vital coenzyme found in all living cells. It is essential to sustaining life. Its key role is in converting nutrients into cellular energy (ATP), which is essential for cell health and functioning. It also supports DNA health and repair.

There are three universally known longevity and anti-aging pathways in the body defined as mTOR, AMPK, and the sirtuin pathway which protects against deterioration and disease. NAD+ fuels the activity of sirtuins (SIRT). These are proteins that induce the formation of new mitochondria, otherwise known as the “powerhouse” of the cell that generates energy in the form of adenosine triphosphate. Increased sirtuin activity can help increase metabolism, decrease inflammation, extend cell life, and prevent neurodegeneration.

As we age, our NAD+ levels rapidly decline resulting in decreased sirtuin activity. Metabolic decline begins to take place as a result of mitochondrial dysfunction.

NAD+ infusion therapy can be customized to meet your individual needs.

Before Infusion

You can eat and drink before and up to the infusion. However, we suggest that you limit fluid intake and void prior to starting.

During Infusion

NAD+, because of its intravenous potency, has some physiological effects that may cause the following: chest pressure, lightheadedness/headache, abdominal cramping, muscle excitability, increased energy, etc. Most of these effects are brief and will resolve in a few minutes or we can slow the drip.

After the Infusion

Because NAD+ does not have any psychoactive or sedative effects, you may drive home after the infusion. You can also go to work the same day afterwards.

There are no restrictions on activity and the above-mentioned side-effects should fully resolve before you leave.

However, if administered with Ketamine Therapy, returning to work the same day, or driving a motor vehicle is NOT advised, and you must obtain transportation.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the benefits of NAD+ IV Therapy?

A simple NAD+ IV infusion can help activate your brain’s neuron function by helping cells regenerate and protect them against damage. This results in increased mental cognition, including better mental clarity, higher concentration, and enhanced memory function. An increase in intracellular levels of NAD+ directs cells to adjust to ensure survival, including increasing energy production and utilization, boosting cellular repair, and coordinating circadian rhythms.

Are NAD+ injections safe?

NAD+ infusion therapy is a completely safe treatment option. It’s a natural substance used in the body and is readily incorporated.

Can I eat or drink before the NAD+ infusion?

You can eat and drink before and up to the infusion. However, we suggest that you limit fluid intake and void prior to starting.

Will my insurance cover NAD+ Therapy?

NAD+ infusions are currently not covered by Medicare, Medicaid, or most other insurances.

Can NAD+ help with Anxiety?

Replenishing levels of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) can help improve symptoms of anxiety so you can manage daily tasks and enjoy life without debilitating, anxious emotions.

Who does NAD+ help?

Many patients report relief after the second or third infusion. Some patients have reported relief after just a single infusion. The therapeutic effects of ketamine are very rapid. However, each case may vary.

How often should I do NAD+ Infusions?

For most conditions, treatment is administered as one 2-4 hour-long infusion for 4-10 days, with infusions being 250mg – 1000mg depending on the indication.

Can I drive home or return to work after the NAD+ infusion?

Because NAD+ does not have any psychoactive or sedative effects, you may drive home after the infusion. You can also go to work the same day afterwards. There are no restrictions on activity and the above-mentioned side-effects should fully resolve before you leave. However, if administered with Ketamine Therapy, returning to work the same day, or driving a motor vehicle is NOT advised, and you must obtain transportation.

When will I feel the positive effects and how long will they last??

The levels of NAD that naturally occur in the body decline with age. NAD+ IV treatments supplement this gradual decline and deliver this powerful coenzyme directly into your bloodstream, making it available to your cells for immediate use. You may feel many of the positive effects of NAD+ immediately after the infusion. Others you may notice a day or two afterward. The effects of NAD+ may last from 2-4 weeks and this varies between people.

What will I experience during the NAD+ infusion?

NAD+, because of its intravenous potency, has some physiological effects that may cause the following: Chest pressure, Lightheadedness/headache, Abdominal cramping, Muscle excitability

Increased energy. Most of these effects are brief and will resolve in a few minutes by themselves or by slowing the drip.

What is the most beneficial method of NAD+ delivery?

Unlike NAD+ dietary pills with a low absorption rate, IV therapy treatments provide you with 100% absorption. Infusion therapy delivers NAD+ directly into your bloodstream, making it immediately available for your cells to use.
