Stop Worrying and Start Living

Free Yourself from the Trap of Anxiety

An anxiety disorder can make life impossible. The constant worry, panic attacks, and sleepless nights take their toll. It can feel like a trap you can’t escape.

Anxiety medications like benzodiazepines can help in a crisis, but they may not work long-term. Worse, they can have dangerous adverse effects.

You may have tried many things to help your anxiety. But they’re not working the way you’d hoped, or the side effects are too hard to handle.

Don’t give up. At Redefined Mind, we offer different yet effective options for treating anxiety. Whether through Ketamine Infusions, Magnetic e-Resonance Therapy (MeRT), or both, we can very likely give you significant relief.

MeRT is gentle, drug-free, non-invasive, and has achieved some remarkable results in treating anxiety disorder symptoms.*

Ketamine is clinically proven to be a highly effective treatment for anxiety.

You don’t have to be stuck in the trap of anxiety any longer. We are here to help you get back to living a wonderful life.

 * Results are based on active and strict observation of our regimens. Results may vary based on the individual user and are not guaranteed.

Anxiety Disorder Symptoms

  • Restlessness
  • Nervousness
  • Increased heart rate
  • Rapid breathing (hyperventilation)
  • Trembling
  • Sweating
  • Weakness
  • Exhaustion
  • A sense of impending doom
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Sleep issues
  • GI problems
  • Avoiding situations that could trigger anxiety
  • Excessive worry that’s difficult to control

While these are some of the most common symptoms, it’s important to know that each person experiences anxiety differently.

Anxiety Disorders are More Common Than You May Realize

According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, anxiety disorders affect 40 million US adults each year. So, if you’re dealing with an anxiety disorder, you’re not alone.

Here are some of the most common anxiety disorders:

  • Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). People with GAD experience excessive worry and tension that are difficult to control. GAD can cause physical symptoms such as fatigue, muscle tension, and difficulty sleeping.
  • Panic disorder. People with panic disorder experience sudden and intense episodes of fear and anxiety, known as panic attacks. Panic attacks can come on without warning and can cause a variety of physical symptoms.
  • Social anxiety disorder (social phobia). People with social anxiety disorder have a fear of social situations that involve being evaluated or judged by others. They fear embarrassment and humiliation, which stops them from participating.
  • Specific phobias. People with specific phobias have an intense fear of a specific object or situation, such as heights, spiders, needles, and public speaking. This fear is out of proportion to the actual danger posed by the object or situation.
  • Agoraphobia. Agoraphobia is the fear of being in places or situations where one may feel trapped or embarrassed or where help may not be available during a panic attack. This fear can lead to avoidance of certain places or situations.

MeRT: A Drug-free, Non-invasive, Long-lasting Solution to Anxiety Disorder Symptoms

MeRT uses a magnetic field to stimulate and balance brain function, guided by sophisticated imaging and diagnostics. We have used it successfully to treat anxiety, particularly when medications haven’t helped or have caused complex side effects.

The key to MeRT is the initial testing with a qEEG (quantitative encephalogram), also called brain mapping. That’s because the altered activity of certain neural circuits in the brain may contribute to anxiety. And the EEG will show the altered activity as a brainwave imbalance.

If we detect an imbalance in brainwave activity, we can use TMS to create a personalized treatment plan to enhance healthy brainwave activity.

The TMS delivers gentle magnetic pulses to those specific areas of the brain that are not functioning as they should be. Improving brain connectivity and communication can greatly reduce anxiety symptoms.*

Anxiety Treatment with MeRT at Redefined Mind in Cypress, Texas

Since MeRT is a relatively new treatment, you may have questions about whether it’s right for you. We want to make it easy to get all the information you need, so your first step is a simple phone consultation with our New Patient Coordinator. During this free consultation, you can discuss your symptoms and history, ask questions, and learn about the treatment in full.

At that point, should you decide to get started with MeRT treatment for your anxiety symptoms, we will set up a series of appointments. The first two appointments will last approximately 45 minutes each. Then we will begin your assessment period to see how the treatment may benefit you.

Testing

Your first appointment will involve a qEEG, also called brain mapping. This is a simple test performed here in our office. We place a cap on your head to measure electrical activity in the brain, and we record the heart’s electrical signals with an EKG. This testing will map out any areas in the brain that are not performing as they should. Then, our team will carefully analyze the test results and develop a treatment plan customized to your specific condition.

    Consultation

Your second appointment, after we have fully reviewed the test results and created the treatment plan, is a one-on-one consultation with the doctor. You may attend this appointment in person or, if it’s more comfortable, virtually from your home.

During your consultation, we will discuss your test results with you and cover our treatment protocols. We’ll also answer your questions and let you know more about what to expect during your assessment period of treatment.

      Assessment Period

During the assessment period, we will perform two weeks of treatment (9 days total), followed by a new qEEG to see how you’re responding. We will review the new test results compared to the one we did initially and note any positive changes. We will also look for symptom improvements.

If we see a positive response to treatment, you will have likely noticed some improvements as well. At that point, we will schedule additional MeRT treatment in two-week intervals.

At the end of each two-week period of treatment, we will take another qEEG and EKG to monitor your progress. We will also consult with you every two weeks to confirm that the test results are continuing to show improvements. And we strive to make your experience a positive one. We know how important this treatment is for you and will ensure we create a comfortable experience every step of the way.

You should know that most conditions treated with MeRT provide noticeable results after four to eight weeks of treatment, and these results are long-lasting. However, each patient is different, and the results may vary.

        Ketamine Infusions for Anxiety Treatment

Redefined Mind also offers ketamine to treat anxiety disorder symptoms.

Ketamine is clinically proven to be a highly effective treatment modality against anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, pain, and more.

Ketamine was originally developed and used as an anesthetic due to its analgesic, hypnotic, and amnestic properties at higher doses. Its use expanded in modern medicine as researchers discovered the extensive benefits in pain management and psychiatry, most notably treatment-resistant depression.

Today, ketamine has emerged as possibly the single greatest breakthrough in antidepressant therapy.

Our highly trained physicians will devise a personalized treatment plan and administer ketamine infusions in a safe and comfortable environment.

This short video explains more about exactly how Ketamine works to address depression.
